Teeth Extractions
Tooth extractions are usually done only when the tooth is badly damaged, broken or decayed. The first step the dentist will try and do would be to try and fix the tooth with either a filling, crown or other treatment however if the tooth is beyond repair the next option would be for a tooth extraction. If the tooth cannot be saved it will require an extraction. Other reasons for tooth extractions can be the following.
- Baby teeth that haven’t fallen out yet and the tooth below is coming through.
- When getting braces, teeth such as the wisdoms might need to taken out to create room for the other teeth to move into place.
- Infections or loose teeth
